Banzai Magazine’s feature on Matt Longhurst’s Time Attack R34 GT-R

We love Time Attack, and we love GT-Rs, so we love Matt Longhurst’s Time Attack GT-R. This Turbosmart-equipped weapon is a true example of the Australian Time Attack breed. Banzai Magazine in the UK ran this feature on the car in their October 2016 issue.

Drag King: Banzai Magazine’s feature on Team Turbosmart’s Nitto II

Our friends over at Banzai Magazine in the UK have put together this awesome feature on one of our favourite Aussie #TeamTurbosmart Skylines – the legendary Nitto II by Mercury Motorsports.

Seven Second Street Supra in Banzai Magazine

Gary Gooding’s street-registered Supra can run a 7-second quarter mile, then hit the road for the drive home. This circa 1400hp 2JZ monster is one of the UK’s fastest road cars. The guys at Banzai Magazine put together this feature on the car in their May 2016 issue.

Turbosmart Flying 500 Entrant: Dennis O’Malley’s Ford-powered R32 Skyline

The second wildcard entry in this year’s Turbosmart Flying 500 is a clash of cultures, and an excellent one at that. There are four R32 Skylines competing in the Flying 500, but this one is not like the others. Whereas the three R32 GT-Rs are running worked versions of the RB engines they came with […]

Turbosmart Flying 500 Entrant: StreetFX x Forza R32 GT-R

To celebrate the launch of Forza Horizon 3, the free-roam racing game based in Australia, two cars were built as an ode to Aussie car culture. One was a tuned, supercharged HSV GTS, and the other was this R32 Nissan GT-R. Having proved its worth against the HSV, it’s now taking on an even bigger […]

Turbosmart Flying 500 Entrant: Lachlan Nicholas’ Toyota Aristo

In this year’s Flying 500, we offered up a couple of wildcard entries to punters with cars we thought would offer a bit of a spectacle for the crowds. Lachlan Nicholas’ home-built Toyota Aristo is one of the cars we chose to take on some of Australia’s best-known tuning workshops. The Turbosmart Flying 500 is […]

Turbosmart Flying 500 Entrant: Motorsports Mechanical’s R32 GT-R

Adding more fuel to the fire that is the GT-R turf war in the Turbosmart Flying 500, Motorsports Mechanical’s R32 is entering the competition with some recent wins under its belt, and a taste for blood. The Turbosmart Flying 500 is a competition of Australia’s fastest street cars, to see who can set the highest […]

Sick ’56: Anthony Penna’s Twin Turbo ’56 Chev

We love a good restomod project, and when we heard about long time customer Anthony’s latest street car project, we had to get on board. Knowing Anthony’s previous project, a Toyota Hilux drag car with a high-powered 2JZ, it was obvious this new build would not be done by halves. The base for the project […]

Turbosmart Flying 500 Entrant: Precision Automotive Racing R35 GT-R

With the Turbosmart Flying 500 drawing closer and closer, we’re starting to see a very diverse mix of competitors, and the title of Flying 500 champion is still very much up in the air. The sole R35 in this years’ Flying 500 is a 1250-plus horsepower street car built by Precision Automotive Racing. This lack […]

Motorsports Mechanical R32 GTR at Nulon Nationals Round 4

The fourth and final round of the Nulon Nationals series has just wrapped up in Cootamundra, and Turbosmart was there to take part in the drag racing component of the multi-motorsport series. Our Asia Pacific Sales Manager, Brendan, entered his RB25-engined 180SX, and we trailered the Nissan down behind the Turbosmart Ford Ranger for the […]
