MotorEx Cruise for Charity, proudly sponsored by Turbosmart, has drawn to a close for another very successful year.
The 2014 season will be remembered for many reasons, the most prominent will be the passionate, die-hard nature of our cruisers.
Turbosmart was well represented throughout the event, with almost every turbocharged car sporting at least one of our products. We were blown away by this show of support!
In every state, one lucky entrant was awarded the title of Turbosmart VIP. The owners of these tough turbocharged machines won a brilliant Lowe Fabrications made trophy, plus a swag of goodies from Turbosmart. Not to mention a prime parking spot at the event, and mountains of glory and admiration piled on them by the passing crowds.
Given five of 2014’s seven Cruise for Charity events were rain affected, it was overwhelming that at total of 3938 stunning vehicles and a far greater number of generous and enthusiastic spectators didn’t let the unfavourable weather conditions deter them. We even took our Time Attack RX-7 to the washed out Sydney event, because just like everyone else there, we wouldn’t have missed it for the world!
One of the highlights for us had to have been the Hunt for Horsepower, which was won by Townsville Mechanical Services and their Turbosmart-equipped twin-turbo VE setting the winning run of 1187.5rwhp.
All those who got involved were rewarded with good times and even better memories. We would like to pass on a massive, heartfelt thank you from the deserving kids helped by Camp Quality via the total of $176,435.09 raised in 2014. This is a fantastic effort, congratulations!
This is the first time Turbosmart has been a sponsor of this event, and the huge support and passion shown at these events has blown us away. We can’t wait for next year, and are already crossing our fingers for better weather. Until then, take a look at all the awesome cars and people who made this year’s even so great, over at the official Cruise for Charity photo gallery.
