Murillo sets a new NMRA record

t was a weekend Mike Murillo and the crew of his Star Car 2 will remember forever. Setting a new NMRArecord for the Pro Outlaw 10.5 Class with a 6.857@224mph qualifying pass, Mike was on his way to the finals which were to prove even more exciting!

Mike’s team worked into the early hours of the morning reparing damaged suspension, their work rewarded with a blindingly fast 6.81 pass placing Mike in the final round against Essick.

As the tree lit up, Essick got off the line first but lost ground as the car got unsettled up on the wheelie bars. Murillo powered past and got to the finish line ahead of Essick, clocking up an amazing time of 6.77@216.48mph, and taking a hard-earned victory. A first NMRA Pro Outlaw win for the car, with, we hope, many more to come!

Turbosmart wishes Mike and his crew all the best for the upcoming races.

Star Car 2 uses Turbosmart wastegates, blow-off valves, fuel pressure regulator and boost controller.
