Murrillo got a bye in the first round, while eventual runner up John Lastinger won when Mitchell couldn’t make the call. In round, two Murrillo defeated Tony Nesbitt in a 6.91 to 6.88 duel, then went on to take out fellow Mustang racer, Scarry, with another 6.88 to 6.91 match.

Lastinger got three free runs when each of his competitors broke, then a bye into the finals meant he would face the titan, Murrillo. When the finals rolled around, Murrillo got the holeshot, a .027, and ran a 7.15 to win the event, as newcomer Lastinger put together a 7.72, his best run of weekend.
