PAC’s 6 finally in the 6’s

A near-perfect weather at WSID meant the competitors and spectators were not disappointed with the on-track action at the latest Bracket Attack.

The biggest news was of course PAC Performance’s triple rotor Mazda 6 finally breaking into 6’s. After almost a year it was great to see the car finally coming to its own with a promising 6.89 sec pass.

“We have made a host of changes and improvements to the car over the last few months, it was time to put them to the test, “ say Rocky Rehayem.

Unfortunately the pass ended in the sand pit, after one of chutes failed to deploy.
“I knew something was wrong,” recalls Rocky, “it felt like either one of both chutes didn’t deploy. I was hard on the brakes but didn’t want to risk putting the car sideways. So off into the sand trap we went..”

Luckily the damage was only superficial, and the car will be ready for its next outing at the Fast Fours & Rotaries Jamboree in Queensland.
