Recently one of our customers had a fuel rail failure on his twin turbo V8. The resultant fire had cause a considerable damage to the car. The customer retrieved his Powergates and Raceports from the burnt out engine bay and sent them back to Turbosmart USA office to see if they might be salvageable.
As it turned out, both tested out just fine! Not exactly “pretty” anymore but the damage was purely cosmetic. The material you see stuck on them is actually from something else on the engine that melted over them. All they need now is a bit of “freshen up” and they will be as good as new and ready to be returned to the customer. Race and fire tested indeed!
