Team Turbosmart’s Roger Clark Motorsport has topped the Goodwood Festival of Speed shootout, setting an astonishing time up the treacherously narrow hillclimb. Olly Clark piloted the Gobstopper II, a Turbosmart-equipped Time Attack Subaru Impreza, stopping the clock at 44.91 to take home the illustrious title of 2015’s fastest car on the Goodwood hillclimb. The Impreza was in its element on the tight track, coming home 0.6 seconds ahead of the next fastest car, the Mitjet Mini Pikes Peak.
Gobstopper II is a 2008 Impreza WRX STi, with its standard EJ20 flat four extensively worked over into a 780hp Time Attack weapon. The Time Attack aero makes this Impreza one serious looking beast, and it definitely has the speed to match the looks. Time Attack is one of our favourite motorsports, so seeing a Turbosmart-equipped Time Attack car take out the top spot in the ultimate test of speed at Goodwood has made us happy campers!
