With CNC ported heads and a Boss intake already installed, the Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords magazine’s 5.0L Coyote was scheduled for even more cams and boost. In the March issue it got just that with a Stage 3 cam upgrade and a Hellion turbo system. To control the boost, two Ultra-Gate38s were employed along with a Supersonic BOV and a Boost Tee.
“The combination of adequate valvespring pressure and our dual wastegates provided perfect and consistent boost control, never varying by more than 1 psi through the whole run.”
The result: 907hp with 10psi boost compared to 545hp from the N/A motor.
