Take the country’s best performance, muscle and race cars, together with hot rods, choppers and classic cars then put them all under one roof for the enthusiasts to admire. That’s pretty much the MotorEx show described in one sentence.
With US “Overhaulin” celebrity Chip Foose taking the centre stage alongside a 14 Litre, V16 Woods & Woods concept car (above) there was no shortage of things to see and do for the attending visitors.
If there was one trend that was clearly noticeable – it was the widespread adoption of turbocharging technology amongst the usually conservative muscle car and big-capacity performance community.

ABOVE: Rotary fans were happy to see plenty of quality builds on display, including this immaculate Turbosmart-equipped Mazda RX3.
ABOVE: Turbosmart-equipped Audi S3 on the Tunehouse stand attracted plenty of attention.
A number of interesting JDM concepts made the performance section of the show more popular than ever, including a bare-metal S15 Silvia (above).
